“My fondest memories revolve around food and family,” says Chef Michael Buechi, a Swiss-born chef and 20-year veteran of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
"At a young age, I was attracted to fresh foods and rich flavors. My first cooking experience occurred when my father and I made onion-filled crepes to surprise my mother, who loved them! My grandfather and I used to fish together, and we’d cook whatever we caught on the grill. He was also a hunter so we’d prepare fresh game too.
"When I was 15, I worked in a hotel kitchen for a week while on vacation and was fascinated by the chefs whirling around amid the flames and producing incredible dishes. I decided then and there to follow my heart and become a chef, venturing into a lifelong affair with cooking…and I have been in kitchens all over the world, pleasing palates ever since!
"My first encounter with Thai curry left a lasting impression. One taste of the temptress, and I was committed to creating this tantalizing treat for curry connoisseurs and curry virgins alike, using only certified organic ingredients.”
